Biography:
Dr. Joanne Chiu is a trained medical oncologist whose research work is focused on early drug development, breast cancer and GI cancers. After completing her specialist training in Queen Mary Hospital, Dr. Chiu pursued a fellowship program in the Drug Development Program at Princess Margaret Cancer Center in Toronto, Canada. She returned to Hong Kong in 2013 and has since been working in the Phase 1 Clinical Trials Center at HKU. She is currently the principle investigator and co-investigator of multiple early phase immunotherapy and targeted therapy clinical trials for cancer.
