Biography:

 
Eric W.-F. Lam is the Professor of Molecular Oncology in the Department of Cancer and Surgery at Imperial College London, UK. He graduated and received his Ph.D. from the University of Liverpool, UK. After several postdoctoral placements at Imperial Cancer Research Fund, MRC-National Institute for Medical Research and Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, he joined Imperial College London as a lecturer in 1996. He now heads a group focusing on the signalling pathways and transcription controls in cancer, with a particular interest in forkhead transcription factors.
 
Recent work from Professor Lam’s group focuses on the role of FOXM1 in breast cancer initiation, progression and drug resistance.
